A growing commercial real estate organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract engagement. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and property accounting activities across a commercial real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial real estate accounting experience and advanced proficiency with Yardi.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly financial statements for assigned commercial properties.Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.Perform bank reconciliations and analyze balance sheet accounts.Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.Review and reconcile CAM, operating expenses, and tenant-related charges.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Support tenant billings, rent rolls, and lease accounting functions.Work closely with property management teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide financial insights.Assist with audit requests and supporting schedules.Utilize Yardi to manage accounting transactions, reporting, and property financial data.
