Job Description
The setup/machinist is responsible for preparing new jobs on machines for production operation. A machine may need new fixtures, fixture location fine tuning, or feed mechanism adjustment. Fixing machines through general mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting techniques is common in this role.
New parts from our customers require some innovative thinking and creative, customized workholding solutions to be developed. Although, there are repeat jobs.
Eaglehead's machines are custom built and PLC operated. An engineer works with the setup/machinst as needed.
