Beach Life – Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo are two of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Beach life here is super fun, where Pura Vida truly exists, basically one big ocean playground. With awesome nearby secret places and beaches to visit, this a prime location for a short or extended vacation. Local folklore says that coming to this special area alters peoples’ lives in wonderful ways they couldn’t imagine prior. When you can sink in and feel the heartbeat of the earth, suddenly new inspiration comes.

Being beautiful large Bays, Samara and Carrillo are perfect places to bring the family for picnics and swimming. There are enough non-intimidating waves to have lots of fun surfing or boogie boarding. Fishing, dolphin tours, kayaking, snorkeling and diving or all abundant here. Or you can take to the jungle for waterfalls and cliff-side sunsets on horses, or local cooking classes. On both beaches you can find plenty of shade, and in Samara you can sit and drink fancy cocktails or smoothies all day at one of the restaurants while swimming and playing in the sand. 

There is a definite sense of community in both areas and you are sure to meet the same folks again and again because the town base in the area year round is only a population of 1,500.
